Liaise closely with their Senior Toolpusher on all key issues in a timely and appropriate manner. Supervise drilling operations, maintenance and other related activities on the installation ensuring that such operations are carried out efficiently and in compliance with Company operating procedures and Company Safety Policy.

Job duties:
- Carry out Emergency Response duties as defined in the Platform Station Bill.
- Ensure adequate recording and reporting of all problem events including accidents/incidents.
- Ensure compliance with the installation’s permit to work system.
- Supervise and record maintenance, repair or replacement tasks in accordance with Company's Planned Preventative Maintenance system.
- Ensure that all employees under their authority have sufficient information and knowledge to carry out their job without endangering any persons, plant or equipment and are adequately trained and experienced for a particular task before they are instructed to carry it out.
- Optimize operational performance, particularly the timely completion of incentive operations.
- Stand-in for alternative work discipline as required.
- Attend onshore or offshore meetings and additional training, as required.

Job duties
- Maintain a preventative maintenance programme in accordance with Company repair and preventative maintenance procedures as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Report on parts, tools and supplies needed to maintain the equipment for which they are responsible.
- Carry out Emergency Response duties as defined in the Platform Station Bill.
- Carry out pipe work and equipment installation tasks in accordance with good engineering practice.
- Carry out mechanical isolations of equipment to be worked on by himself and others.
- Plan maintenance and repair tasks so as to minimize the affect on the drilling operation.
- Supply information for the completion of the Company's reporting system data sheets e.g. Maintenance/Repair/Replacement job cards.
- Supply any information required for updating of any drawings, sketches or information of existing and replacement equipment.
- Carry out tasks as part of a multi-discipline maintenance team as operational requirements dictate.
- Stand-in for alternative work discipline as required.
- Comply with the Permit to Work systems in operation on the installation.
- Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by Line Supervisor.
- Attend, at Company base or Client premises, meetings and additional training, as may be required.
QHSE Resposibility
- Familiarize him/herself with the Company Safety Policy.
- Ensure that all working places for personnel are always, so far as reasonably practical, safe within the meaning of the above Act.
- Bring to the immediate notice of their supervisor actual and potential hazards to safety, health, plant and equipment which come to their attention in the course of their work.
- Carry out planned safety inspections as requested in accordance with the Company Safety Policy.
- Properly use and care for personal protective equipment.
- Attend safety meetings, emergency and lifesaving drills in accordance with the Company Safety Policy.
- Daily inspection of forklift truck and keeping of log book.
- Safeguard the rig tools and instruments in their care.
- Ensure that all work is carried out to the requirements of the Permit-to-Work system and in compliance with Safety Procedures in force, initiates Permits-to-Work as necessary within their discipline and ensures all safety precautions are carried out.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant Company management systems and where applicable client procedures.
- Take an active role in Archer/Statoil observation process.

Brunel Energy Rio is looking for a self driven professional to act as a Project Engineer responsible for preparing installation procedures on Flexibles and Umbilical Pipes. Vacancy is tied to a project operating various newly built PLSVs sanctioned by Petrobras for work in the Campos Basin.

Job

Basic Funstions
Responsible for producing Riser/Flowline/Umbilical installation engineering procedures related to the installation and recovery of subsea flexible pipe lines using a Pipelay Support Vessel (PLSV) chartered to Petrobras.
Responsibilities
1.Responsible of technical supervision and document checking in case of assistance by others engineers.
2.Is aware of the overall project planning and responsible of the planning of his/her Scope of Work.
3.Develop technical evaluation of solutions.
4.Ensure that know-how is transferred within the discipline (lessons learnt)
5.Develop processes in accordance with Group procedures and rules.
6.Use the validated computer tools and suggest new acquisitions.
7.Ensure his/her work is performed in accordance with the latest HSEQ, Document Control suite of documents and Group procedures.
8.Attend project audits related to Engineering Activities as and when required.
9.Attend project engineering reviews.
10.Attend discipline meeting.
11.Prepare or validate Preliminary studies for design and/or installation
12.Prepare or validate Preliminary Technical Operating Plan
13.Prepare or validate Preliminary System description and MTO
14.Prepare and check estimation of Engineering man-hours and time Estimates for Operations
15.Propose clarifications and Qualifications.
16.Plan, prepare and deliver calculation notes for design and installation
17.Plan, prepare and deliver installation procedures (including material and equipment list, planning, …)
18.Follow-up execution of project drawings
19.Plan, prepare and deliver requisitions and/or specifications
20.Provide technical assistance to drafting group
21.Participate to offshore operations and SIT
22.Validate documents produced under his / her responsibility
23.Act as a mentor for a Graduate Engineer as requested
24.Act as coach for a new employee as requested
25.Act as tutors for trainees as requested
26.Capability to manage individuals within the project and interface with personnel both internal or external to the project
27.Adhere to HSEQ and QA procedures, JSA and Hazid, TRA Meetings for risk job activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from accredited university (Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum). Some years in preparation of installation procedures for Flexible and Umbilical Pipes for Petrobras
Definition and dimensioning exp of Rigging
Offshore experience desired
Fluent English and Portuguese (both written and oral)
Brazilian Citizenship
Experience with Petrobras projects in Brazil
MS Project (MS Office general knowledge)
Petrobras SGO exp beneficial.

This role will be required to:
Fully comply with the company’s Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Systems
To assist Clients in screening potential wells requiring intervention services
Attend pre- and post-job Client meetings when required
Ensure the Client's technical objectives are always understood and effectively communicated to the rest of the team.
Ensure correct planning of operation including mobilization of correct equipment
Travel to and perform field operations at oil and gas well sites, possibly in remote geographical areas.
QC and when applicable interpret data during and after logging operations. Analyze well site related problems and apply appropriate technological solution to solve them
Maintain sufficient working knowledge of Archer proprietary equipment and commoditized well services equipment that you are required to use
Communicate to Line Supervisors/Managers any concerns, suggestions, ideas and improvements
Train other engineers in competence of your expertise when required by the Operations Managers
Ensure the job report is produced to required standard in a timely and efficient manner
Establish good rapport with colleagues and onsite client engineers
Attend schools and seminars as requested by management and to remain updated on software changes, tool upgrades and recent operational problems
Perform other essential functions which may be assigned by management
Remain alert to onsite opportunities for providing other group services

Qualifications
Typical requirements include a 4 year University or College degree in Engineering or Science related discipline.
A minimum of 3 years prior experience preferred.
